I have always found the ongoing controversy on the existence of ET/UFO both frustrating and puzzling at the same time. In spite of countless daily witnesses and reports worldwide, the government cover-ups continue, along with a general ridicule by the “non-believers” on a topic that up until recently has been confined to fringe conspiracy and ufology groups. Despite the attempts to deny and cover-up the evidence, the information is out there, as more and more “insiders” are starting to talk.
Personally, I’ve never needed any disclosure or evidence to come to believe that extraterrestrial intelligent life is a reality. I have always known this to be true, since I was a child. How could it not be? Could anyone in their right mind truly believe that we are the only ones in this infinite Universe? If anything, an official disclosure would thrill me because it would highlight this truth into collective consciousness.
Also, while there are solid theories and traces of alien interaction with humanity since the beginning of times, I’d be also excited to find out the details of the actual visitations we have had with alien intelligence, here on Planet Earth, in our more recent history. It is wonderful to know that we are one form of intelligent life among infinite other intelligent manifestations of the One Creator in far away planets and galaxies, but it is absolutely exciting to find out that other civilizations from space have already interacted with us.
Bob Dean, a retired Command Sergeant Major in the US Army, has become an important voice in ufology circles after he claimed to have viewed Top Secret documents detailing alien activity on Earth. His presentation at the European Exopolitics Summit, Barcelona, 25 July 2009 shows a number of previously suppressed NASA images, including NASA photo evidence of Mars having an Interplanetary Airport. Bob Dean’s speech is quite fascinating and moving at the same time.
Project Camelot has done a great job, creating a transcript of Bob Dean’s speech at the Summit, and posting the photos that he references to in the video. Humanity demands the truth from their governments, and has a right to it.
This species, this race, this troublesome bunch of monkeys, has a destiny in the stars and we are a part of this infinite universe filled with intelligent life. And we have been from the beginning but we are only now beginning to wake up and see it. Only now are we beginning to open our eyes and listen with our ears and look out there and say, all right where have I been? What am I now? Where am I going?
As I said, your destiny is in the stars. Your generations to come, your descendants, your grandchildren and your great-grandchildren will go out there and they will claim their rightful place. [applause] In a universe filled with intelligent life. Your place out there belongs to you. You have a right to that and you will claim it.
Astronaut Dr. Edgar Mitchell, who was part of the Apollo 14 mission in 1971 and the sixth man to walk on the moon, also calls on the US Government to disclose the truth about UFO’s and alien visitations on this Planet, including the Roswell incident. He has recently released several interviews on the subject, stating that extraterrestrial life does exist.
It is interesting to note how the media approach this subject, with hints of ridicule and disbelief. This is incredible news, but the CNN anchor woman is not serious about the subject at all, interviewing Dr. Edgar Mitchell as if he is a poor senile old man, and not someone holding a Doctor of Science degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT.
Dr. Steven Greer, Director of The Disclosure Project – a nonprofit research project working to fully disclose the facts about UFOs, extraterrestrial intelligence, and classified advanced energy and propulsion systems – is doing a wonderful job in gathering reliable witnesses ready to testify before Congress under oath.
The Disclosure Project May 9th 2001 National Press Club Conference can be watched in full as a two hour video here.
As the movie UFO – The Greatest Story Ever Denied beautifully says:
Somewhere
in the back of your mind
you’ve always known
it was true
In spite of fear mongering attempts and insinuations that these aliens might have evil plans and will eventually invade us, conducted through mass-media mental conditioning (think of the movie Independence Day), the evidence that has been gathered and the facts show us the contrary. The intentions are benevolent. Their technology is so advanced that if these aliens wanted to harm us, they would have done so a long time ago. They are waiting for us to be ready and deserving of being part of a Planetary Community.
Why is the U.S. Government so reluctant to speak the truth? Is it truly only because they think we are not ready and we would panic? If they are never going to disclose anything, when do they think we will ever be? The Elite has no interest in letting us know that we are being visited by friendly extraterrestrial intelligence, because they would lose all power and the grip they have on the world. There are other plans in store for us… Some theories go as far as alerting us to a potential false flag operation, faking an alien attack, to throw us into planetary panic and establish the NWO, thus denying us access to our galactic destiny. I will keep a very open mind about that possibility, because I know in my heart that the existing advanced alien civilizations are more interested in our own evolution of consciousness. Everything in this Universe is connected and our higher consciousness will have a positive impact on the entire Galaxy and beyond. They know that, and they have been waiting for us to wake up.
For the time being, I take it as good news that there has been an effort in UFO disclosure worldwide, in spite of the official silence by the U.S.
Many have been wondering why the extraterrestrials themselves don’t show up and make their own “disclosure”, possibly landing on the lawn in front of the White House, as that would give us certain proof of their existence. An explanation that I find reasonable is the fact that they know Universal Laws very well, and one of them is not to infringe on Free Will. As long as only isolated phenomena and contacts occur, we still have the free will not to believe, if we so wish. Intervention would happen only if absolutely necessary, for example in the case of a nuclear war that could annihilate this planetary body, or to assist with the coming Earth changes. Time will tell.
Considering how we have been treating our own Planet Earth, the real Holy Land in the words of Bob Dean, and each other, we may still have some way to go. Collective consciousness needs to wake up to a new understanding of our place in this Universe, and show to ourselves and our space brothers and sisters that we are ready. Sooner or later, there will be full disclosure, as it will be inevitable. The upcoming Shift will take us there, to our destiny in the stars.

Beautifully put.
It’s really interesting what Zecharia Sitchin writes about ancient texts telling detailed stories of extra-terrestrial giants who came to earth to mine gold. The Lost Realms is a fascinating book.
Drunvalo Melchizedek also talks about the Dogon who hold incredibly detailed astronomical knowledge which they claim was taught them by extra-terrestrials, dolphins in fact!
Anyway, as usual I couldn’t agree more with what you’ve written.
Thanks again Palma!
Mike S´s last blog ..The Spirituality of Trees – As the Deer
Hi Mike – I’ve always been fascinated by the accounts of extra-terrestrial visitations in ancient times, and the mysterious artifacts and constructions that can only be explained this way. I remember reading “Not of this world” by Peter Kolosimo, a long time ago, and it all made perfect sense.
I’ve been meaning to look into the work of Zecharia Sitchin for a while now, and all the controversy about Nibiru. Thank you for the reminder!
Drunvalo’s work is also great. I came across a broadcast he did on the Mayan prophecy, to be posted here soon. I did not know about his accounts on the Dogon and the dolphins, though.
I have a feeling that very soon all of this information will make sense for more and more people. If we are not alone now, we haven’t been in the past either.
Hey Palma,
It is amazing to me that we can believe that out of all the stars and planets in the universe that we can be the only living beings in the universe. It smacks of the same thought process that the sun revolved around the earth. Man has an extremely egocentric point of view and has believe so long in his superior place in the universe. Confirmation of the idea that we are not alone will shake many of our most sacred ideals about our existence. For me it only makes sense that there is so much more to discover about our universe.
Hi Reginald – Yes, confirmation that we are not alone will require a review of many religious beliefs. Hopefully, by the time the disclosure happens, the most people will have raised their level of consciousness and will be ready to accept the new reality.
Besides millions of people around the globe, I was positively surprised to know that the majority of Americans believe in extraterrestrial life, and are psychologically and spiritually ready to accept the news. A poll was run by the Sci-Fi Channel, showing this data.
Palma,
Long time, no chat! I hope you are doing swimmingly.
Excellent, and well researched article. There are a few things that I noted about it that I’d like to mention.
It is interesting how ufology has really moved out of the fringe. I don’t completely know what to make of it myself, but there is a lot of evidence. I tend to be where I think most people are at on the subject. I will believe in aliens when one shakes my hand. I do not NOT believe in aliens. It is just that I have no definitive proof either way. That means it is a faith issue (real faith is based on evidence as well), and I just don’t find a reason to have faith on this either way. This is mostly because my belief or disbelief wouldn’t really effect things at all at this point. So, I just choose to have no opinion.
You mentioned a “mass media mental conditioning” toward a fear of malevolent beings. This may be true to some degree, but this is where UFO believers do themselves a disservice. Independence Day was created because some movie execs thought it would be a cool Sci-Fi/action story, not because a secret government agency turned out a script (although the script does seem sufficiently bad to believe that). Hollywood pumps out these stories because the aliens come to earth—share their secret for peace and harmony—everyone has a meal and celebrates Ewok-style under fireworks, just doesn’t make that interesting a story.
The final thing I noticed was that you put the impetus on the US government for being transparent about aliens, and asked why they were covering this up. While I do not in any way believe that the US government is angelic, if this is a world-wide issue why does the US government get consternation and the rest of the countries get a pass? Why isn’t Sri Lanka liable to tell the truth on the matter? Russia? China?
It is really easy to blame the US for things we don’t like, but countries usually act in a way that is beneficial to their interests. If they didn’t, they would be stupid. Obviously, the US government believes that announcing alien visitors would not benefit the country (assuming there are), but obviously other countries believe that same thing. We can’t expect the US to do something that is not in their best interest when we don’t expect it from every other country.
Hi Ryan, nice to hear from you again!
You raise some very good points. The choice of no opinion that you made is perfectly all right. It is a conscious and balanced choice, made by following your own guidance on the subject.
In my case, it is not because of faith, but because of logic that I believe in alien intelligent life. I mean it in the sense of a mathematical and statistical approach to it. The way I feel, is that the concept of Infinity is so amazingly complex and magnificent, that within this Infinity everything must exist. Including other forms of intelligent life. My mind cannot conceive the absence of consciousness in a never ending (infinite) number of galaxies, each made of billions of stars and solar systems. To me, consciousness pervades the entire Universe, and consciousness is at the source of physical creation. There simply must be other physical creations in other points of consciousness.
You are right that dramatic movies are more successful, because there is a definite recipe for writing stories that entice the audiences. And that has to involve the resolution of inner or outer conflict, for the audience to identify with the story.
One point to be considered is this. Most of us agree that in general the media have a great influence over mass consciousness. Companies spending enormous amounts of money on commercials know this too. Now, if the media is such a powerful tool that can influence billions of people around the world, possibly the most powerful tool, whoever deals the cards and holds in their hands the power to decide what to produce or not, is also in a position of great power and influence. That is, the movie execs at the higher levels. Especially if combined with political figures, who plant memes of alien threat within a seemingly positive speech. One example is President Reagan at the U.N. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C9LyxiVVZb8
With that said, I do enjoy action movies and big special effects a lot, but I emotionally remove myself from their conditioning aspects.
Regarding the impetus on the U.S., this is because of three main reasons:
- the Roswell incident happened on American soil, and this fact is extremely relevant given that there are supposed alien bodies in possession. I don’t think that a UFO crash of this kind has happened in any other part of the world in modern times. An official disclosure about this incident can only come from the U.S.
- the U.S. has been a powerful force in space sciences and technology (NASA and all), and was officially the first country to land on the moon. An event that has affected the entire world. This fact alone means that much weight would be given worldwide to a disclosure originating from the U.S., unlike any other country.
– the U.S. is also a country of major planetary influence on many levels, including political, military, and financial levels. Although other countries have started to open their UFO files to the public, an official disclosure coming from the U.S. would have a massive impact. With the gain of controlling world politics, comes an added responsibility toward the world, so I believe that it is fair to demand this from the U.S. specifically.
I thank you so much for raising these points, as they helped me get more clarity on these issues!
