The power of Love

Tina Turner couldn’t have been more wrong… love is so much more than a second hand emotion.

Love, the binding glue of this Universe, is our force from within. A force so powerful, that it can create worlds, and heal bodies. Every living being responds to love, as it is a universal language without barriers. When love is given, it is received tenfold. A powerful force from within that has to radiate outward, and is shared without the need for words.

Many of us confuse love with infatuation, which is a projection of our own self onto another being. When love is conditional, it imposes a set of rules and expectations that have to be met, in order for us to be happy. When those rules are broken, love vanishes like a snowflake in the sun. True love is unconditional, eternal, undemanding.

True love starts first and foremost from self-love. Loving yourself is not about being selfish in the way we usually mean it. When you love yourself, you love life and everything around you. Most importantly, you accept everyone around you as they are, because they are not the primary source of your happiness. You don’t need them to behave in a certain way, or be the way you’d want them to, for you to be happy.

When you love yourself, you enjoy people for who they are. In them, you see divine perfection, an expression of Source, as you see it in yourself. When you love others, you want them to thrive and express what they came to this world for. Love is about ultimate freedom.

Love can never be created, nor destroyed, because love just is. We can only turn it off, temporarily. The moment we are ready to open up the stream, love is there, flowing from within, because that is where we came from, and where we are going to. Love flows throughout the Universe with no boundaries of space and time.

When seeing the world through the eyes of Love, you see perfection. When feeling your body through the waves of Love, you create perfect health. When giving love with a pure heart, you will be loved completely.

Pets, our master teachers

Pets have the amazing power to draw love from us. They do so, because they are capable of unconditional love. Their innocent spirit asks for no conditions from us. They give first, and they receive tenfold. It is known that pet owners live longer, not just because of the improved lifestyle, but also because of the exposure to the vibrations of love.

Love is for everyone

Everyone is capable of loving unconditionally, as it is our natural state of being. Closing off to the frequency of universal love is unnatural and not how we were meant to be and experience our physical life on Earth. All we have to do is to acknowledge the miracle of existence all around us, and see this world and ourselves through the eyes of God.

Quantum physics has demonstrated that we create our reality through the “eye of the observer” and our perception of it. When we recognize the ultimate perfection of all things and all beings, we create a magnificent world for ourselves. We create a joyful life experience. We help raise consciousness on this Planet. We become pure, liquid love in physical form.

Ultimately, who we truly are, is how much love we have given.

Hi Palma – I know my cats love me – they won’t leave me alone for a second :-) Seriously though – I know they sense my emotions and try to comfort me when I’m sad.

Have you heard about Karen Armstrong’s charter of compassion? It’s not exactly about love but how compassion is the one thread in all religions and how it is so rarely practiced. She believes that positive change needs people to practice compassion or the golden rule to occur.

Hi Kim – I so know what you mean… my cats do the same! :-)
I haven’t heard about Karen Armstrong, thank you for the link, I will check it out. I strongly believe in the practice of compassion.

I think that love can be created, and that doing so is an excellent goal. Every new relationship has the potential for love, different kinds with the different people you know.

Hi Elizabeth – I agree, every new relationship has the potential for love. I wonder if the creation or non-creation of love just depends from the perspective…

What I mean is, from the individual’s point of view, love is created every time a new spark is ignited, and this is how we generally see it and feel it, myself included. From the universal point of view, the stream of love is there, and we access it every time a new spark allows it to flow, like a catalyst.

I added the link to your site on your name, it was missing. There is no last blog post either… let me know if you want me to add it, and which one! :-)
