With the start of the industrial revolution, mankind has increasingly become a threat to the survival of Planet Earth. This is an unprecedented phenomenon, because humanity has lived in perfect harmony with nature up until then. As individuals, there are so many things, no matter how small, that we can do to help the environment and the overall well being of our delicate ecosystem. We all have an impact, we all can make a change.
Keep your bookmarks ready for Gaiatribe – Ideas for a Thinking Planet, a wonderful blog full of helpful tips and resources, created by Elizabeth Barrette. An active environmentalist, writer and poet, Elizabeth is offering a place where you can get inspired to do more, read about important issues, and find out what’s going on with all things related to the environment, sustainable resources, and the survival of this Planet as a whole.
The beautiful imagery of the caring hands, holding gently our Mother Earth, shows the love and passion that this blog has in spreading the message of sustainability and ecology. It is thanks to Gaiatribe, and the post Celebrate World Water Day, that I have joined Bloggers Unite, where all participating blogs write on a specific relevant topic in a particular day, to raise awareness on important issues.
When I went to read Action Call: Save the Polar Bear, I had the opportunity to join Change.org, another site raising awareness about important causes, and signed the petition.
Make sure you visit Gaiatribe regularly, to keep updated on important issues affecting not only you, but all future generations. You will find many practical tips and links to interesting articles, including green energy, politics and technology. The beauty of this Planet has to be preserved for your children, grandchildren, and all future children on Earth.
There is a beautiful Native American proverb, infused with words of wisdom, that we should always keep in mind:
In our every deliberation we must consider the impact of our decisions on the next seven generations.
From the Great Law of the Iroquois Confederacy
This site is a daily reminder of this. Even the smallest change in our routines, our call to action, our decisions, can make a change for the better for the next seven generations and beyond.

Thank you so much for this beautiful review! You really brought out the heart of the blog.
