Starting this thread to offer a discussion space to a comment left by Moh Singh on the blog post Law of Attraction and the quest for enlightenment. I think that the premise is quite interesting, and we could elaborate on the concepts presented below...
The quest for enlightenment

have you ever considered the following:
a blood cell has a duty - multiply and carry oxygen to the hart and various parts of the body. it is an organ that controls that flow of blood and another organ that creates those blood cells. It is yet another organ that controls all of the other organs to make them do their jobs - the brain.
In this way, we humans are the red blood cells and through enlightenment we can see part of the organ - but never the full body.
when a parent wants a child to learn something, he may employ a method known as a ‘headfake’ (see paush’s the last lecture for his definition). Basically, you have the child do something he thinks will be fun so that he will learn a lesson from it because telling the child directly to do something you want them to do may not work. A simple example is the addition of cheese to brocolli to make the child consume the vegetable he would otherwise never eat. A more complex example is the encouragement of teens to ‘get laid’ with the goal of increasing population and forming lasting relations (hopefully - some never break out of the cycle).
It is the universe that is employing a similar ‘headfake’ to have us accomplish a goal while we think we are accomplishing another one.
Suppose a blood cell decides that his task is boring and mundane, and is determined that in fact there is something more to life than what it is he is led to believe life is about (for all we know, the blood cell thinks it’s going to work every day at the heart and resting at home at some location - hopefully not the toe - those closer to the heart would be considered lucky and wealthy and those far away to be in the slums). Even greater would be if the blood cells could choose their own games to play to occupy itself or play multiple at the same time. If this blood cell gets a glimplse of another reality, realizes its seduction, and controls it (in other words becomes enligtened), the organ may not like this since once the illusion is shed, the cell will not perform its function with the same level of enthusiasm as before. Worse still if he has followers, and they begin to learn. So, when the cell ‘dies,’ it is given a harder task to keep it busy - take care of the organ or something similar. (Maybe he has to wait until the organ itself enligtens for his turn to come). Either way, there are more and more objects stuck in lower levels that decrease as the levels of complexity increase. (like a pyrimid) In each level, the being thinks its supreme, but finds out it is not. The ideal is that which controls all under it and may or may not exist (the eye) - my bet is it exists.

In this same way, we are being fooled into believing we are supreme and continue on with our worldly tasks and games with great enthusiasm and until we can find our seduction, we will never realize something more when we ‘die.’

Moh Singh, this is quite an interesting concept. It seems to me that the two views of us being supreme, or fooled into thinking it, have opposite premises. If I am understanding correctly what you are saying...
The first scenario seems to have the premise of control and manipulation. We are somehow fooled into believing that we are supreme, by a higher entity that has control on everything else at the lower levels. Some of us wake up and realize that we are not, but there is not much that we can do about it. This reminds me of the scenarios of both the Matrix, and the Thirteenth Floor.
I posted a while back about the Thirteenth Floor, in If you were your Avatar. What if what we call reality is an advanced video game, controlled by higher players? In the movie, each level thinks they are real, and the creators of the software for the lower levels. It is not so. Even the highest level, may very well be the ultimate illusion, and yet another computer program.
The question is, where does it end? How does the "Eye" know that there is nothing above, and that it is also not living in the illusion of being supreme? That some other entity is fooling it into believing that it ends with the Eye? If the Eye ends up not being supreme and "dies", will it then find out that there is yet another level? Or are there levels in which one is truly awaken?
The other question is about the motivation behind this control. Cynical fun? Madness? Just because it is so? More pondering required about that...
The second scenario has the premise of unconditional love. We are not being manipulated. We are an expression of the highest level. Because we are an expression of it, we have the innate capacity to see beyond our dimension of existence, and have a glimpse of the higher levels. Within us, there is the spark of the supreme, because we emanate from it.
Though the illusion of reality is there too, it has a specific purpose. Awakening will lead to true evolution and understanding. The premise is not control, but freedom of the Soul. Each evolving at their own pace, and at various degrees.
Even if reality was an advanced video game, the biological avatars are streaming consciousness from their creators. They carry the same quality of consciousness, rather than a separate one. As humans, we do have the capacity to love. Many individuals have experienced the state of unconditional love. The "Eye" could not have created love (or artificial love, the illusion of love), unless it also knew what love is. Because nothing can come into existence that has not been thought first (Thought is Cause). That means that the Eye is capable of supreme love.
About awakening and evolution, going back to the two scenarios...
In the first one, the blood cells won't perform their duties enthusiastically once awaken. Because they know there is more to it. The system is disrupted and the higher levels don't like this. It is in their interest to keep the blood cells in a state of slavery and slumber. In this dimension, you cannot possibly create your own reality, because someone created it for you and is keeping you right there. Even if you awaken, you are in a mouse trap.
In the second case, the blood cells awaken and realize that they are performing their duties for a higher purpose. This will increase their level of enthusiasm. They know that there is more to it, and they are eager to find out. The system is enhanced by the quantum leap in consciousness, the higher levels like this. It is in their unconditionally loving nature to let things evolve at their pace, because home is where love is. In this dimension, you are creating your own reality, because you are streaming consciousness, and can from your lower level communicate with the consciousness from the higher levels. If you awaken, you benefit from the broader horizon.
Which one is it? My soul is inclined to the view of Supreme Love pulsing through this Universe. Beyond our human affairs, when one looks at the stars and galaxies, there is just too much beauty and harmony, and the eternal miracle of creation.
I hope this discussion with grow and evolve over time. Looking forward to more insights on the topic!

thank you.
It is not neccessary the the blood cells stop functioning and refuse to play along after seeing worldly games as pointless and hurtful.
It truely is very possible that the blood cells are seeing there is a devine purpose and doing their job more enthusiasticaly - the 'eye' upgrades them to organ because they are productively doing the eye's will and encouraging others to do so also.
This is why the books state we should listen and follow His will - He will tell us what is most productive. The eye isn't saying "damn, you know, so i'll give you something harder," but "you've found the true purpose and so i know you can handle a more important task!"
Now, the question becomes what is the "eye" - consider:
The books state that a devotee will enter God's house and see God and be absorbed in God when he is fully enlightened.
What does this mean?
Is it simply the observation that humans are just as much animals as any other animal and a select few can see this and rise above it? Think about the lone hen in an industrial hen farm who actually realizes that their world is not the way it naturally should be and compare that to our world. And, for that matter, think of the one that realizes that the way it should 'naturally' be is too not the ideal. Those that see similarily are the ones I am talking about.
Is this why those who rise above it shouldn't abuse their powers - that is, that although they may be able to see, there will always be someone who sees more than them, and above all those that see is God almighty? Thus, one should always fear and be aware of God?
This correlates to the same symbol discussed earlier (i find it to be the most facinating one i've encountered to date and relates to many things) which also appears in the united states grand seal (a pyrimid with an eye over it) and is the bases of different movies and 'secret' sects:
.eye
..^
./_\
/___\Is the eye the ideal, similar to the forms described by plato (he describes how no one can ever draw a perfect circle and no perfect circle exists in reality, but the perfect circle exists in abstract as a Form with a capital 'f' otherwise there would be nothing to determine that the real circle is flawed it to - that is, the Form it is the ideal)?
Or is it that the eye exists, but it is beyond our abilities as humans? Plato talks in the winged charriot about how humans can see the good as the soul in a previous life get's a glimpse of it (in a similar way to how we aim for things based on what we see, for example on tv - we see people with money and fancy cars and we want the same; we see models with the rich, and we want the same, etc. - in this way, as the soul peeks while a determination is being made on it's fate, it can see the perfect circle and other Forms in reality with the judger so that it may compare forms to them when human again).
Are demi-gods, true gurus, saints and the like very close to the eye figuratively in the pyrimid?

Very interesting... this rises the fundamental question, whether the Eye/God is a separate entity, or not. This premise completely changes our relationship to the Eye, and everything that stems from it.
1 - The Eye/God is separate from us
Many of the books stating that we should follow His will, have been interpreted as God being the overall entity, controlling his creation. In order to follow His will, we need to know what this will is about. We can't always rely on the scriptures, because collective human behavior seemed to agree on principles opposite to them. For example, millions have been slaughtered throughout history, in the name of God's Will, in spite of the books saying "Thou shalt not kill".
If the Eye is a separate entity, and has a will, what happens if no one follows it? This could theoretically happen. Now you have an Eye that is helpless, because his creation is not following his will. He can send them all to the hellish realms, but then he will sit with no creation.
I think that the moment that we create separation, we now have different wills, possibly conflicting with each other. Having one will dominate over the other one, under fear of punishment, creates further separation. Those who follow the main will, do not do so because of love, but because of fear. It becomes a fear based world.
2 - The Eye/God is within us
I think that to see God's house and see God and be absorbed in God, when enlightened, means the realization that God is within us, and that all creation is collectively God. Since one becomes enlightened while in human form, one can see God, because God is right there. The enlightenment was the eye-opening event, making one able to see what was there all along.
From this premise, we share the same will. God's will and our Higher Dimensional Self will, are one and the same. Because we are the creation and the creator at the same time, we follow a shared blueprint naturally...
I would like to elaborate more on some other interesting points you make, I will post this for now, as my three-dimensional commitments are now asking for my attention... will be back later on!

Hey Palma and Moh Singh, excellent discussion. Moh, if I may add my two cents in this. I would say that you have a view that many have when it comes to the concept of God. Many feel that God is someone that is outside of them and is manipulating and choosing our fate based on an arbitrary agenda that he may have. You also seem to assert that a being on a superior level is closer to God. I have a agree with Palma that the Eye/God is within us. The only way to experience what I call ALL THAT IS is through a direct connection to source that we ALL have. All levels of our being does have a consciousness, from the smallest cell to our brain. All levels are aware of their part in making the whole. No part performs its job based on fear or some sort of ignorance.
On a larger scale we are to the earth as a cell is to our body. Earth is a cell in the universe so to speak. We are all connected to ALL THAT IS and we do all that we do because it is part of our purpose. As humans we often times have to find that purpose but it is done out of the love that we have for ourselves. Religion says that we have to perform a certain way in order to have salvation or favor with God. In reality as a soul we incarnated on earth in flesh to experience this plane of existence. Whatever the experience to gain from this incarnation is ours to keep for eternity. No need to fear retribution from God.
I wrote an article a titled man creates God in his own image. Check it out. It may give you a different perspective and provoke thought. http://reginaldc.me/?p=322
I enjoyed reading the discussion. Both you guys raised great questions.
ReginaldcPosted 9 months ago # -
Reginald, thank you for adding your insights. This is quite a thought provoking discussion. I agree that we are all a part of All That Is, incarnating on Earth to have an experience on this plane of existence.
I was pondering about what Moh Singh said about Plato's ideal and the pyramid symbol. It all really comes down to viewing the Eye/God as separate or not. I think that the divergence in views starts with our concepts of "superior entity" or "higher/lower levels". Most of us, create a vertical hierarchy in our minds, rather than holographic. Let me see if I can elaborate on this:
1 - We are not the Eye
.eye ------------> The All-Seeing entity (the Ideal), controlling all levels of creation
..^ -------------> The highest level below the Eye, controlling the lower levels
./_\ ------------> The higher level, controlled by the highest, and controlling the lowest
./__\ -----------> The lowest level, controlled by allBecause we are not the Eye/God, it is the unreachable ideal, that we measure up against, determining our innate imperfection and flaw. This is a vertical hierarchy, where each higher level is a separate entity from the lower ones, with specific behavioral demands on the lower levels. We look at the "superior" entity, as something that we are not, and cannot be. Each level has their own separate agenda and set of rules, dictated by the highest level of all.
The higher you go, the closer you are to that ideal, but can never reach it, because only the Eye/God can be perfect. God becomes an ideal, revered by all levels.
2 - We are the Eye
.eye ------------> All That Is (Consciousness) unifying all levels of creation
..^ -------------> Manifestation of consciousness starts with duality
./_\ ------------> A further expression of All That Is, higher dimensional experience
./__\ -----------> A yet further expression of All That Is, lower dimensional experienceThis is a holographic hierarchy, in which each level is yet but another expression of the same entity. For example, our lower self, and our Higher Self. They are not separate Selves, but the same consciousness being expressed in different dimensions. The parts create the whole, and the whole is within each part.
In this system, the Eye/God is a reachable ideal, because it is the original form, from which everything emanates. It is us, at the super prime state of existence. Each descending level is the same Eye, in a more differentiated dimension/plane of existence. The more each level is differentiated, the more there is the illusion of separation and individuality, which serves a purpose. The ultimate goal is the realization that each differentiation is only an experience of the same Consciousness, and that everything is one and the same Eye (enlightenment).
With this view, the "superior" entity, is just a higher expression of the same Self. When the multiple Selves at the lower levels awaken, they realize that there are many of their Selves for each multiple (each on a higher plane of existence), and at the same time that there is only one Self, on all planes of existence (in the original form).

i totally understand what you mean palma - and if you think about it, technically a baby would be the eye in your model. In sikh literature, the anand sahib speaks about the child in the womb and how it remembers God. Once out, it starts behaving like it's parents and peers and begins to form duality in a similar fashion as you stated - increasing complexity as it goes on. Could our goal be to remember what we forgot - that is, pretty much to be like the baby again?
i've read 'games people play' by berne and 'scripts people live' by steiner, to try to understand how we all behave and treat one another (what games we play), i've seen very, very horrible things. from relationships between individuals to relationships between nations to relatships between animals. I've seen men steal from the weak an ignorant, i've seen nations modifying and villifying histories of great men and women, and religious tribes slowly engulfing and taking over possessions of others. trying to let anyone know what is happening only leads to hatred on the source. it seems that the encouragement of enlightenment is the only way to get people to see. i have to say that i've also seen a lot of good things as well, so it's not that i've lost hope.
when i referred to the pyrimid in the second example, i was speaking in terms of this. Those in lower levels of the pyrimid are ignorant to the actions of those above. People manipulate, steal, and abuse those under them for whatever reason (because their bored and it's fun??). One shouldn't abuse this power because they should realize that there is always someone that they are ignorant too - even the highest on the pyrimid. Eventually, there is the ideal - e.g. the eye.
Control of those under oneself is a game in itself. Think about trying to control a herd of sheep. sometimes you have to be firm so that they follow your commands. they have to experience joy and pain. they have to want to be in the herd. It is the way. This seems to be how humans are too. Only difference is we don't 'see' the shepherd. But does the sheep?? The shepherd need only discipline one or two for the word to get on throughout the herd and because those lower on the pyramid believe those above them (one of their powers), soon all fear the shepherd for fear of discipline. Unless they were to just test these pre-conditioned notions (like i've done to get over a lot of hurdles), they cannot know for certain what being in the herd and listening is all about. That is, they remain ignorant.
Enlightenment to me, at this point, seems to mean pretty much recognizing that you are not an individual, but part of a whole and the games people play are to no avail because as animals we may think we are the superior being, but birds and dogs and cats also think they are the superior being. We have to live in the world to complete our required tasks and get to choose what games we wish to play - and hopefully choose good games (but then, what's good to one may be bad to another - so basically we just try not to hurt anyone - which is very hard to do - if you make a better product you are hurting the competition, etc. - even by playing no games, you are hurting those that love you and yourself).
A good question to ask is if when we pray for help, who are we expecting to come to our aid? Could it be one higher than ourself?? A 'guru'? Could it be many higher than ourself?? People who understand where we are stuck and help us get over it?? Is it God in the sense of it being humanity and all forms in general??
let's look at the pyrimid in yet another way. This time, let's thik of the pyrimid as being made of brings and look at the mortor holding the brinks together (the lines). When people make decisions about their path, they become distinct from one another. WHat you have is a binary tree starting from where everyone starts from, and expanding based on the decisions that are made in life.
e.g.
..start
....|
...|.|
..|.|.|
.|.|.|.|Now, draw an outline around it:
...eye
....^
.../|\
../|_|\
./|_|_|\
/|_|_|_|\When one becomes enligtened, they are rising on the pyrimid even though their decisions have brought them very low. So, essentially, they can see and comprehend what other people are doing and why. I used to ask any and every one i could all sorts of questions about what they do and why. I was amazed to lean how different from everyone, yet how similar, I really was. So although in the world, we are lower on the pyrimid since we do one task, spiritually, we are higher and can see that under us.

I watched the movies about God and read some info about the Holograms. I also read some sikh scriptures. I then let my mind wander and come up with a solution, and when it came I focused on it.
Firstly, about praying, I answered my own question - I think that praying is a method employed by the enlightened or the helpful to stear one towards medition. If i had not been told repeatedly to recite sacred text, I would have never (upon hitting severe 'depression'), ever have tried to understand what the text was saying. Someone 'higher' up was looking out for me.
I have been meditating on this more after watching the movies perscribed about God and the Holographic world. Some of these ideas had already occured to me, but as I look at this, I am led to believe the following:
1) We are all part of a greater being and there are smaller beings within us
2) Everything around us is based on our senses and animals operating at different frequencies with different brains have their own worlds as do clouds. We cannot comprehend or understand them (yet).
I've been pondering over evolution for some time now. My personal opinion is that we all started as a single cell - an aniba or the like. then, we got tired of this particular life form, MERGED with other anibas that performed different functions,
and formed another life form - say some bacteria. We then MERGED with more to form another - say a fish. This kept going - fish on land, etc. until we get human. The key is that we have ALL BEEN EVOLVING TOGETHER. (For that matter, maybe we were strings or something before becomming atoms, and then we became molecules and then the aniba - when did it start????? That I don't know - maybe it's cyclical - there's a hypothesis about how negative infinity is the same as infinity)Through the paths of evolution, decisions were made, some chose to stay underwater - leading to giant squids and dolphins, some chose to become complex bacterium, etc.
In my reading of 'games people play' by bernes and 'scripts people live' by steiner and my watching of human behaviour in general and animals, i began to notice that similar people live in groups with one another. THose that do not share their opinions and behaviour are considered crazy. This is nation by nation, race by race (in Canada, we are currently working on our own heritage and culture as we speak, being a country of refugees and 'crazy' people from other countries), by age, and by groups of people. People live their own little worlds. (I can tell you there aren't a lot of people who understand what I'm talking about and think i'm nuts)
If you put these two ideas together, we see that those that evolved into something similar share a similar thing - that is, we are all human, speak to each other, are able to form new entities, etc. Bears have their own worlds, and so do birds. I can only imagine what a bird is thinking when telephone wires and the such pop up - they must be wondering how this great being throws up these posts and wires in the world and wondering why - and we're the fire that they know they must stay away from or die (unless they are in the presense of another being who understands their world and then it may be okay). Now, there is one thing everyone on this planet share that is similar, and that is this planet.
As we evolve, so do our senses. I learned this from a book called 'Cocept of Man in Sikhism' by Jasbir (i think) Kaur. ants can only feel, other animals can feel and smell, others can only feel, smell, and taste, others can see, smell, taste, feel, hear, etc... In other words, it seems as though we have evolved to get five senses working sense to sense. WE were first an animal with one sense, got tired of that, formed another, then another, etc. We did it all together. When I first became enlightened (i think), i had a dream (while awake with my eyes open sitting on the toilet) where I looked around and saw nothing but rocks moving around in space very fast. I got scared and forced myself back to this reality.
This leads me to believe that there may be a chance that we are nothing more than particles that form, say, a metal. The scriptures say there are many worlds - what if they mean many groups. WE are on earth right now, but we can go to, say, some other system somewhere (not another planet in our system - i'll explain why later on).
THink about a magnet picking up a pile of iron filings. as the first few get picked up first (being selected by the magnet or posibly posesing more of an attraction to it), the others are attached and they all come up together - refusing to part with one another. We, as people, or this planet, or something are the filings and it is our attachments to each other, or the world, or something that keep us clinging to one another. IN the same way, if we lift a cup, the particles hold to one another and refuse to part - we provide the energy to lift them all - that's why we can measure energy from our bodies - touching one another is sensational, and sex is amazing - it is there at polar opposites meet and are so attracted to one another that for a while they become one - and form another.
This leads me to conclude the following too:
3) Although part of a greater entity, just as we do not directly create the reality of our blood cells, He doesn't create ours. We evolve our own. But we should keep in mind that there are white blood cells to get rid of the troublesome red blood cells..
4) We are probably a bunch of atoms with similar traits that choose to be clumped to one another and can probably leave to another system should we choose to - but one can imagine how hard it would be to cross that world ocean.
5) He doesn't care, per say, what we do in our reality - BUT, we have to live with others who do care. Our best course of action is to simply play the game - or, through evolving, help the species (No idea how we can do this - but I have a feeling we'll be communicating telepathically soon with throughts through waves - people can already connect to one another and control and feel each other's 'vibes').
6) THere's a very good likelihood of a more supreme species that we will all become, whether here now or not. Some will get there earlier, others later, but it seems as though everyone will get there. We will master this world, MERGE, and find another one to keep us occupied.
As to why i think we merge, it was when I found out that there is a bacteria that converts CO2 to oxygen, and this same bacteria strain forms part of a plant. It would make sense to merge because several entities would want to become one, and it would make sense for all to share control seamlessly rather than individual parts. I don't thik they would be able to agree on a leader - or would they??
7) It is your soul that merges with others when you choose Another question to ponder is if the planet itself - all the humans, or all the birds, or even all carbon-based lifeform - are in the process of merging to one?????? Some scripts say we must wait for everyone before Nirvana - we must go together... Maybe those who go straight there (as is preached by Sikhism) just end up waiting for the rest as the living dead???
Another good question - if we're a blood cell, and white blood cells keep the red in check - then what's a white bood cell and what's the virus that causes desctruction???

Moh Singh, again, you raise some very interesting and complex points, that require further pondering. The analogy of the baby seems quite right. Up until the moment that we emerge physically on this planet, our connection to Source is pristine. That's why the baby in the womb remembers God. It is still at the state of pure consciousness. The moment the baby is born, begins the interference from other beings that are already on this plane. The experience of the Mind takes over the experience of Consciousness, and as time goes by the memory fades.
It seems that the goal of the game is to remember who we really are (God/Consciousness), but it is easier said than done. Not only we have to follow our path through the infinite variables we have set out through our own game, but we have to deal with the games of all other players, which in turn set out infinite variables. Each individual, that means each point of consciousness, has to do the same. As we move through the maze of variables, it is possible to get stuck in the labyrinth, just before being able to move again, or when "game over" occurs.
Because who we really are is a memory of Consciousness, and not the Mind, simply being aware of this helps in the awakening, but does not yet lead to "enlightenment". Many of us are awaken, but not enlightened, because we have understood the rules of the game, and have remembered the rules of the game, but have still not experienced that "knowing" in every fiber of our consciousness. In other words, the "remembering" part starts in the moment that we leave the womb, because of the interference. The baby in the womb does not need to remember anything, because he "is" that expanded consciousness in prime state.
As we walk through the maze, we will encounter good and pleasant things, but also unpleasant and horrible things. We live in a world of duality, where good and evil seem to coexist. Our goal is to move through maya, without buying into a game that does not serve our higher purpose, which is to transcend duality. This is the hardest challenge, especially when facing war, destruction, and abuse.
The pyramid that you describe, with the lower levels being ignorant of the manipulation of the higher levels, is the one entrenched in this duality, with the "Elite" at the top, as mentioned by David Icke. There is indeed some sinister game of world domination going on. David claims that our stream of Consciousness has been "hacked", so that we are stuck in the world of Mind, prey to maya.
The Eye at the top of that pyramid, is a "hacked" God. It is not Consciousness/All That Is. It's a Mind pyramid, rather than a Consciousness pyramid. The higher levels running this hacked pyramid, understand the law of vibration and how collective consciousness can be affected and controlled. They know the mechanics, but lack a spiritual understanding. The goal of the awakened ones, is to lead all the sheep at the lower levels back to the stream of consciousness. The hacking has only hidden the awareness of this stream, not destroyed it.
The hackers, are obviously a part of this dualistic world. As such, they are also an expression of All That Is (the original form). They are playing a game above average, a game nonetheless. Once the masses realize this, it's "game over" for them. Because we are all One, and all connected, part of us is them, and they are a reflection of us. The realization of their game on a larger scale, will open our eyes on the negative dualities of many of our own games on a smaller scale.
Maybe, when Consciousness at the lower levels will be able to observe itself as a dualistic expression of the Same, duality will be transcended. More pondering to do, on the other points you mention...

I did a google search for "after enlightenment" and found the following particularily interesting:
"Enlightenment basically means to the enlightened that he is not separate from the rest of the world and that no one is enlightened."
http://www.kktanhp.com/Comes_After_Enlightenment.htm
For a while I've felt that I have found an answer to what the pyramid symbolizes. To me, it seems more like a never-ending pathway than a pyramid. The eye not actually being the eye, but probably an eye-lash-like image which is actually symbolic of illumination, or 'the source.'
What happens is that when one feels as though one is enlightnment, he/she believes that he/she is enlightened along with a group of others whilst everyone else is not. That is, in the levels pyramid, he has reached the second level. This is very nearsighted, but the individual has not realized this yet.
When the person discovers that in actuality the pyramid is a pathway, and not a series of levels - that is, it is never ending - that person realizes that in fact there is no such thing as 'enlightenment' in the way he/she thought before, but rather awareness.
I had actually myself reached a point where I questioned if enlightenment is actually a negative thing - that is, I really did ask mentors if I am crazy and not actually enlightened. For example, if somoene is crazy, and finds another who is equally or more crazy, one would not say to the other "Wow man, you're crazy too," but rather they would say "Wow man, you're special too," or possibly "Wow man, you're 'enlightened' too." How would this crazy person even realize that they are in fact crazy?
It is when several mentors told me that 'if you feel that you are better off in your current state than you were before, then you should not worry if the world percieves you crazy or not' that I stopped worrying about this and actually started realizing that everyone is actually one in the same and there are many that have actually gone through the same as me. Also, as I genuinely require mentors (and not for greed), the world makes it so.
I am now at a state where I look at the world as one - and books like "Beezlebub's tales to his Grandson" and Einstein's "Ideas and Opinions" are finding their way to me where they did not before. I feel this is the world's way of giving me the mentors I need.
It would be nice to hear from others as to if they are also feeling or have felt something similar.

On another note, some scriptures say that humans have the ability to reach the source. I agree with this. But some interpretations of quotes to this effect say that Humans are neccessarily the highest life-forms in the universe. To this, I tend to disagree.
Everything is patterned. I feel that in the same way that one who first becomes enlightened feels that there are but two groups and he is on top and only later realizes that there are in fact more levels above him, that in a similar fashion one who thinks that there are humans and lesser life forms will also discover that there are probably higher life forms closer to the source than himself.
That is, I think that we should be open to the possibility that there is are higher life-forms that we actually do not comprehend living with us on earth (probably above us). This is a very a very crazy thing to say and can put one into a mental asylum in a similar fashion to saying the earth is round when everyone knows it is flat (and I have heard of people entering elightnment being put into asylums) - in fact, this may be why Sikh Guru's often state that one should not speak too much except to those at similar levels.
Should this hypothesis be true, then when one dies and discovers that they are re-born to a higher life form and not to the source, they will cry upon their first breath (bit of a pun, babys always cry when they are born, probably thinking "i thought this was over with"), but then forget and get uses to their new conditions through conditioning of their first mentors - namely their parents. Thus, one should be open to that possibility.
Sikh texts and others seem to imply that when a person dies, their mentality or 'state of mind' goes with them and nothing else - e.g. quotes similar to 'not your family, your castle, nor your children - nothing but this knowledge will go with you.' My question now is if it is a good thing to mentally program a return to the source, or acceptance of migration through different lifeforms (probably through transformations in merging with others or similar in 'getting rid of the self'). In this sense, the interpretors may be justified in stating the former as true - and this appears to be the end goal - but one should be aware that there might be other life-forms at a higher level. If prepared for it, one need not learn it again and be accepting of it and more able to go to yet another higher level before finally returining to the source.
One more note related to this is the idea of heaven and hell. If a higher being with a multiple mind dies, than all those may want their own being in the next and so that individual goes to 'hell' or to a lower form. Should the mind be a working one without multiple thoughts (all together and one), that higher being would remain in that same level. Should the mind be the previous, but willing to be rid of oneself and so ready to merge with others, it will may go to a higher level, or 'heaven.'
In fact, technically speaking this too may justify logic held by sucide bombers that they will go to heaven (since they are being rid of self and so moving to a higher level). I personally do not have an opinion on this (I do not condone nor do I approve of it - rather I just observe it) as having such and not simply an observation may result in undisred consequences.
So if one is to merge with other similar souls to reach a higher level and a 'return' to the source, it may be implyed that the source had expanded at one point and the purpose of all this is to play our part in the return of it into a oneness - and the quickest way is to return directly to it (if possible).
It seems logical that there is a tree of some sort (for example, if you remove the edges of a bricked pyramid) that leads to that source, and this is the path that is taken to reach there.
Keeping in mind that all this is philisophical and without proof and for the purpose of meditation, what I am trying to say is that if one is accepting of merger as well as a direct return, they may be better off in the event that a direct return is not possible.

Hi Moh Singh - I still have to finish reading and digest what you posted, which I always thoroughly enjoy, but let me just start with a quick reply.
What happens is that when one feels as though one is enlightnment, he/she believes that he/she is enlightened along with a group of others whilst everyone else is not. That is, in the levels pyramid, he has reached the second level. This is very nearsighted, but the individual has not realized this yet.
I completely agree with you. When "enlightenment" becomes a label for separation from others, it's just the ego becoming inflated. I believe that when one it truly enlightened, he/she doesn't even know the difference, meaning that they are just in a state of awareness of Oneness with All-That-Is, outside of labels and definitions. Enlightenment is simply a state of Being.

(Quick note from Palma: I love this post! I know it was just a test for the avatar, but it so reflects the true nature of the Buddha state of mind... perfect calmness, a balanced mind, noble silence! :=) )

'if you feel that you are better off in your current state than you were before, then you should not worry if the world percieves you crazy or not'
This is a beautiful statement! Very true. If the current state of mind takes one to a state of heightened awareness and the understanding of one's place in the world, it really does not matter how others perceive you, because they can only do it from their own perspective and their own vantage point.
It is interesting to note that in ancient societies, the "crazy" individual was thought of as having a special connection to other dimensions, being able to "see" what normal people could not, and interpret reality in a different way. It's really a matter of interpretation of frequencies, but in our modern structured society, not being able to function as it is expected, is what causes the problem. A different interpretation of frequencies (what we call visual and auditory hallucinations), is however quite different than creating a different interpretation of how reality works. For example, one can still function in society, while at the same time having an expanded awareness about Creation.
There are times in which I realize how "crazy" my vision of the world and higher dimensions is, compared to my regular 3D friends. While I think that reality as we perceive is an illusion, they are so deeply entrenched in this reality, that questioning whether what they experience is real or not, to them is a crazy endeavor. "If you can see it and touch it, it's real", and if I had to tell them that what they see and touch is nothing but a holographic pattern, frozen and condensed light, interpreted by their decoding system (the senses), I'd surely appear as quite crazy to them.
But then, as your mentors said, if I'm better off in my current state of awareness, I don't care how I am being perceived!

Moh Singh, as usual, you raise some amazing points!
So if one is to merge with other similar souls to reach a higher level and a 'return' to the source, it may be implyed that the source had expanded at one point and the purpose of all this is to play our part in the return of it into a oneness - and the quickest way is to return directly to it (if possible).
I do believe that there are higher levels of existence (or life forms) that just operate at a different level of frequency, so we cannot see them from our perspective. At these levels, time and space are not relevant, so they may just as well dwell together with us, or in other realms.
Currently, the explanation of these dimensions (or densities) that resonates the most with me, is the one described in the Law of One material. I am still in the process of deepening the studies. There are octaves of densities, with the merging with Source being the final goal.
Questioner: Could you define the word density as we have been using it?
Ra: I am Ra. The term density is a, what you call, mathematical one. The closest analogy is that of music, whereby after seven notes on your western type of scale, if you will, the eighth note begins a new octave. Within your great octave of existence which we share with you, there are seven octaves or densities. Within each density there are seven sub-densities. Within each sub-density, are seven sub-sub-densities. Within each sub-sub-density, seven sub-sub-sub-densities and so on infinitely.
While it may be possible to go from 3rd density straight to Source (maybe, I'm not sure), the quantum jump would be enormous. The majority of "mind-complexes" moves up the scale gradually, learning important lessons along the path to Oneness. These steps are part of the process of the Creator knowing Itself.
After approaching this material, I have wondered if the Buddha was already an eighth density being who incarnated here (back in third density) just as a final step for merging with Source...
