I was thrilled to come across this 3 part video, where Norwegian journalist Anne Hess, of the Home Planet Network, interviews Carla L. Rueckert at L/L Research in Kentucky, discussing “The Law of One” (formerly known as the Ra Material) and 2012. She is the original channeler of this material, working as a team with scientist Don Elkins, and James McCarty, from 1981 to 1984.
Carla comes across as a loving, positive person, with no hidden agenda. It was a delight to watch her interview, and listen to the explanation of the principles in her own words. The more I look into it, the more I resonate with the Law of One a lot, because it fits very important criteria that I seek when digging for Truth:
1 – The principle is universally applicable, non sectarian, available to all.
2 – No particular skills and knowledge are required. It works for everyone.
3 – It is based on the respect of Free Will, with no manipulation.
4 – It is self-empowering, and based on individual choices.
5 – It does not rely on judgement, and is based on unconditional love.
6 – It is non-dogmatic.
7 – It promotes unity, rather than separation.
To me, these criteria are essential for spiritual evolution, and the reason why I am “allergic” to any religious dogma, or cults of any sort.
As Carla explains, the only factor that will assure our graduation during the shift, is positive polarization, or the choice of being of Service to Others. Not only this choice is based on Free Will, with no judgment of good or bad, as a simple natural resonance of frequencies, also there is no need to know about the Law of One or any other metaphysical material. If one is loving and sees others as another aspect of their own Self, this will be all that is needed.
This is a journey of self-awareness, and evolution, the path of acknowledging that we all are the One Infinite Creator. There are no special rites and rituals that if not performed will assure your eternal burning in hell. There is no external “salvation”, by some biased entity, nor there are “chosen” ones, more special than others. Prime Creator radiates Unconditional Love. That is, un-conditional. We are One. Whether we choose positive or negative polarization, it is based on our own free will, depending on which path we want to experience.
Carla considers herself as a tool. Her mission is to help other Seekers, with no intention to proselitize or aggressively push the teachings. It does not matter if the awakening happens in this lifetime or not. We all will eventually get there, at our own pace. Progress is based on Free Will.
Printed books are available for sale for those who prefer to have the hard copy version, but L/L Research, home of the “Law of One” material, has a great library section, where Carla makes many of her books available for free in pdf format, including the Law of One.
The companion community site to L/L Research is Bring4th.org, with forums where Seekers can discuss the principles of the Law of One and more. I will start exploring the forums, and read more of Carla’s material, because her view of 2012 has triggered some important questions about the continuation of 3rd density. She states that the current density will continue to exist on this Planet, along with 4th density. I do recall Ra stating that 3rd density on this particular Planet will be uninhabitable as we move up the frequency scale.
She also seems to talk about our natural life cycle, as we know it currently. It is true that Ra stated originally that third density bodies will not function in 4D, and that they will have to “die” the usual way, but this is in contrast with readings I have been doing about our transformation in order to be able to live in 4th density frequencies on this Planet. That is, the creation of our light bodies through DNA evolution, triggered by cosmic and solar radiation amongst other factors. Even David Wilcock, who supports the Law of One teachings, talks about the Ascension process, and says that Ra may have meant the word “die” as “transmutation”. This forum thread on Divine Cosmos is posing the same questions…
Because she is the original channeler, I will look more into it, as I respect her opinion. After all, it is part of the process not to have a clear picture dished out easily, without having to do inner work and our own individual research. Easy answers are not what Seekers are looking for, confusion does serve the purpose of sharpening one’s mind, and triggering one’s spirit to ask deeper questions.

Hi Palma. Nice post on a wonderful person.
Some of The Law of One information has really resonated with me and helped me. The confirmations about the Self and the Other Self being One resonated deeply. The instructions on how to keep our chakra system unblocked. The idea that love is All. Everything concerning the spiritual Inner workings were excellent in my opinion and helpful. For me that was the message.
Other things of an outward nature were interesting to me but neutral. For example Ra says in one of the books that when we ascend the stairs there will be Helpers who will watch out for us so that we won’t fall off a step. I can’t believe that after perhaps hundreds and thousands of years of honing our spirit, if you will, that we can be troubled by a missed step. Still, I don’t have a problem with this nor with any other confusing outward info. I think it’s a good thing to have contradictions concerning the outward info. The Creators Freewill is beyond our understanding in it’s scope and things work best from the inside out. And perhaps in time I might see more meaning in such outward descriptions.
Remember too that Ra said that when they brought spiritual info to the Egyptians, with the hope of helping, it was hi jacked by the elite and a mess was made. Ra hoped to make it up to Earth by bringing the Law of One to us. Perhaps any contradictions in the Law of One are meant to keep it hidden in plain sight as it were. There is a Pearl of great price hidden within for which I am grateful.
As a novice Seeker I crave the Silence. After this the words on a page come alive. Namaste!
Hi Marty – I’m there with you on this. I also thought that the most important message was about the inner workings. This is what we really need, inner work. The rest is nice to know out of curiosity, but not crucial. I found the outer workings quite interesting, but sometimes they created confusion. Maybe it is supposed to be this way, as you say, to respect our Free Will, so that the full picture can be discovered only by those who venture and dig deeper. You make a good point about the hijacking. Serving out all knowledge on a golden plate is risky business.
Also, like in any channeled material, there is always some static in the transmission. Though the Ra Material is considered to have one of the highest levels of accuracy, I’d be (pleasantly) surprised if it’s 100%. Another factor to keep in mind, is the potentiality of the timelines. Things could have changed slightly, due to the progress of our own consciousness. Even Ra talks about “levels of potentiality/probability” and that certain events may occur in “approximately” a certain number of years of our time.
As for the helpers, I believe that where we end up going is certainly up to us and our own evolution, and that the help could be just of practical nature. For example, even after a lifetime in 3D and with a body suited for that, if we stare at the sun long enough, our 3D physical eyes need to adjust to the change of light when we go into a darker room. In which case, it would be nice to have a helping arm to lean on, so we don’t bang against the door. In other words, even after eons of honing our spirit, we have gotten so used to this density that the original light may seem ultra-bright.
Hi Palma. Realistically speaking,I would need help. But I guess that’s the point, there is help. It’s actually a beautiful thought and it makes sense that Beings in the Higher Density of Love would be anxious to be with us and help us along the path. It’s a Win-Win situation. Bye for now.
The law seems pretty interesting based on your description. I might need to catch some sleep before I watch the videos, so I won’t be able to comment yet regarding Anne Hess’s views. I’m curious though as to what kind of questions the law of one can try to answer.

Hi Ryhen – The Law of One, in my opinion, addresses quite cleverly all the fundamental questions of humanity – Who am I?, Where do I come from?, Why am I here?, Where am I going? – giving a very interesting description of how our Universe is created, densities, octaves of Creation, frequencies of light, and the path of evolution of consciousness. I list it in my highly recommended readings for anyone who is looking for the bigger picture, beyond our 3D world. It is also a mind-triggering reading for anyone interested in the 2012 shift.
It is a free download (as per link in the post) and you can always set is aside, as I did years back, when I was more drawn to the simple Law of Attraction, before resuming the reading if and when you resonate with the material.
Let’s just say that when one makes it through the books, their perception of reality will have deepened in amazing ways.
